Description : We practice organic farming at Sardar Patel Farm located on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. The whole farm is certified by SKAL International (Netherlands) presently CU as per USDA-NOP, EU, and NSOP, Govt. of INDIA norms. Organic farming based on a Biodynamic framework is followed in our effort to be a part of the healthy chain – healthy soil – healthy crops – healthy food – healthy life. After almost eight years of following these farming practices we have found that we have succeeded in: -
1. Producing the crops we grow, the trees in our orchards, the plants in our garden and nursery, the ability to battle the onslaught of harmful pests and crippling diseases.
2. Increasing the population of useful insects by ridding the atmosphere of harmful pesticides.
3. Producing products, which help humans in their battle against diseases and pollution and that, which are tasty and have an increased shelf life thanks to their organic / biodynamic origin.
Cotton, Wheat/flour/broken, Paddy/broken/semi broken/flour, Unpolished rice/flour, Bajra (Pearlmillet)/flour, Maize/flour, Pulses(whole&split) (Bengalgram, Greengram), Unhulled Sesame, Aniseed (Fennel), Soyabean/flour, Black gram/split, Red gram, Mustard, Curry leaves, Castor and most of the spices are the major crops.
