The 9th Natural Products Expo Asia ( will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 25 – 27 August 2011, hosting an exhibition area of 6,000 m2 to encompass the finest natural and organic products sourced from around the world including food & beverage, dietary supplement, natural and raw ingredients, cosmetics and skin care products, spa facilities and supplies, and more. Staged as the region’s most acclaimed trading and sourcing platform the show is further supplemented by a series of high-profile educations, networking events, and stimulating live cooking demonstrations to gather more than 9,000 quality visitors to excel in the buzz.

International marketplace for the natural and organic enthusiasts

Asia-Pacific hotel and spa market

Spotlight is shone on Asian markets, with the hotel and spa industry experiencing promising growths, having the largest number of hotels and spas under development of any region worldwide. 77% of 2011 Asian hotel expansion is earmarked for the world’s fastest-growing economies: China and India. 1,248 hotel projects (336,349 rooms) are slated for China, representing 35% of the world’s total hotel projects (and 44% of all rooms under construction globally). India boasts the 2nd-fastest-growing Asian pipeline, with 450-plus projects and nearly 80,000 rooms under construction.

Andrew Jacka, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) and President of Thai Spa Association commented, “The Asia Pacific spa market has shown rapid growth in recent years, often exceeding 20% annually, as the middle class expands and society as a whole recognizes the importance of preventative healthcare. We see further steady and sustainable industry growth for the Asia-Pacific spa industry in the foreseeable future."

Indulge yourself at the Thai Pavilion where you can experience an instant getaway, formed by the Thai Spa Association with a total showcasing different kinds of spa products and facilities including mud spa, essential oils, aromatherapy candles, ingredients, spa packaging and etc. When asked why Thai Spa Association is returning to exhibit at the upcoming Expo, Andrew Jacka revealed, “Following the success of our participation in NPEA 2010, the Thai Spa Association is pleased to again be returning to Hong Kong for NPEA 2011 where we will be showcasing the quality, diversity and innovation of Thai Spa products to a discerning international audience.?The 33% growth in the number of Thai Spa product companies that will be exhibiting in 2011 only further highlights the increased awareness of the importance of natural and organic spa products from Thailand and their position in the world spa market”.

The show also presents visitors with value-added events held on 24 - 25 August. First time debuting in Asia the NutriCosmetic Summit 2011 is rich in education value and inspirational, with keynote speaker Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Aveda, presenting an overview of the industry covering its roots in the Asian culture and its spread through Europe, U.S. and other parts of the world.
