FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – SK Food International,

Fargo, ND - SK Food International has expanded its line of Identity Preserved ingredients to now include additional types of certified organic oils and vinegars, as well as conventional non-GMO mechanically-processed oils. In the past SK Food International’s main focus has been on certified organic high oleic sunflower oil and canola oil. SK Food International’s newly added types of oils include almond, corn germ, pumpkin, coconut, walnut, sesame, palm, and extra virgin olive, as well as conventional non-GMO mechanically-processed oils. SK Food International’s vinegar line includes balsamic and wine vinegars, in addition to apple vinegar.

Previously all of the oils and vinegars SK Food International offered were certified organic, with the exception of the grape seed oil. SK Food International has recognized a growing demand for conventional non-GMO oils that are mechanically processed. Many conventional non-GMO oils are extracted using a chemical process. “We are pleased to be able to meet the needs of our customers by offering conventional non-GMO mechanically-processed oils,” says Jennifer Tesch, SK Food
International Marketing Director.

“Until recently, most of our demand for organic oils was coming from the snack food industry, primarily for frying applications,” notes Tesch. SK Food International is now seeing interest in a wider range of industries including baking, cosmetic, personal care and pet food, and other food industries such as dressings. Tesch adds, “it’s exciting to see the growth of organic oils for such a variety of applications.”

SK Food International sources its oils and vinegars from several areas. “We are pleased to offer product from diversified production areas, which provides a more stable supply and availability to our customer base,” says Tesch.

SK Food International offers its oils and vinegars in bulk, or packed in drums or totes. Product is available in truckload quantities, as well as less than truckload quantities. “While the majority of our customers have needed full truckload quantities in the past, we are now accommodating small to medium sized manufacturers in response to the demand. We have begun warehousing some of our oils in order to offer less than truckload quantities; and we are looking forward to expanding our warehousing capabilities in the future,” explains Tesch.

Other ingredients SK Food International supplies include Certified Organic and Conventional Non-GMO dry beans, grains, seeds, soybeans, brans/germs, cocoa products, flours, meals, sweeteners, split/dehulled soybeans and instant powders/flakes. SK Food International has been a reputable import/export trading company and domestic bulk ingredient supplier since 1990.
