SK Food International, Inc.
Fargo,ND - SK Food International introduces a new addition to its Identity Preserved ingredients: Certified Organic and Conventional Non-GMO Split/Dehulled Soybeans. SK Food Specialty Processing, SK Food International’s wholly owned subsidiary, has added equipment to split and dehull soybeans at its facility as part of an ongoing expansion project.
SK Food Specialty Processing, located in Moorhead, MN, provides custom processing and seed conditioning for a wide range of Identity Preserved/Lot Specific Certified Organic and Conventional Non-GMO commodities and planting seed for SK Food International.? According to Jennifer Tesch, SK Food International Marketing Director, “SK Food Specialty Processing plays a vital role for SK Food International to provide the Best Value - Quality, Service and Price - to its customers as an ingredient supplier.
SK Food Specialty Processing uses a unique mechanical process to split and dehull its soybeans, which is unlike others in the industry that use a heat process. Tesch notes that using a heat process may negatively affect the soybean as a finished soy food product. The new equipment was added as a result of growing market demand for custom milled products and specific customer requests for split/dehulled soybeans. “We are able to split the soybeans into halves, quarters or various sized pieces, depending on the product application and customer’s needs. We can also remove all of the hulls or leave a few hulls remaining in the finished product according to product specifications,” says Tesch.
Applications for split/dehulled soybeans include, but are not limited to soymilk, tempeh, tofu, and cracked natto. “We are looking forward to seeing new and innovative soy food products emerge from split/dehulled soybeans,” says Tesch.
SK Food International offers the split/dehulled soybeans in bulk shipments or packed in 25, 50, or 60 LB bags, 30 KG bags, and bulk tote bags based on LTL or truckload/container shipments. SK Food International’s split/dehulled soybeans are Identity Preserved and available as Conventional Non-GMO or Certified Organic through NOP, JAS and/or EU Compliant. In addition this ingredient is Kosher Pareve.
Other Identity Preserved ingredients SK Food International supplies include Certified Organic and Conventional Non-GMO soybeans, dry beans, grains, seeds, flours, meals, oils/vinegars and instant powders/flakes.? SK Food International has been a reputable import/export trading company and domestic bulk ingredient supplier since 1990.
